Travel agents, like us, are able to access specially negotiated rates that are better than anything you can find online (ex Booking.com / Expedia / Agooda) because these rates are offered in a private 1:1 environment.
LeibTour operates as a reputable travel agency and bed bank and offers you exclusive access to the best available rates in the balearic market unlike other popular online platform OTAs.
At time of writing, we are clearly positioned as the #1 largest accommodation agency in Ibiza.
We are an agency based in Ibiza with direct contracts with local suppliers. We never add ridiculous fees and we don’t have small print on our website.
Bye Bye “parity rate”
Rate parity is a legal agreement between a hotel and the OTA (Booking.com, Expedia, etc) providing the same rates for the same room on all the distribution channels. In the case of OTAs – it provides the same rates on all the booking platforms as well as on the hotel’s own website. That means, the hotel has to have the same price for a room, no matter where the client books it and no matter the commission the hotel pays to the OTA. Thanks God (and thanks the EU) this scenario is changing.
Today this Mafia is over!
“Numerus convenit” Why we have the cheapest Price Guarantee?
Basically the customer, when booking through an OTA, is paying the Base Price + The Service fee to the OTA
The base price is what the accommodation provider charges for your stay, and the service fee is what the OTA charges for helping you book your stay.
So, let’s say the base price for your accommodation is 1,000€. When you book through an OTA, you’ll also need to pay a service fee of minimum 15%. This means that you’ll pay an extra 150€ for the OTA’s services. The total cost of your stay will be 1,150€ – that’s the base price plus the service fee.
In the end when you booking on Large websites you pay for the accommodation you want to stay in, plus the cost of the OTA’s services.
Example: Accommodation price 1.000€ + Service fee 15%= FINAL PRICE 1.150€
Alternative and Better Ways to Spend 150€:
Clubbing: Get into 3 or 4 different clubs with pre-sale tickets.
Dining: Treat yourself and three friends to a couple of classy dinners.
Day Trip: Take a group of five to Formentera for a day trip.
Exploration: Rent a car or scooter with premium insurance and explore the island.
Pampering: Enjoy a relaxing spa day or massage.
Souvenir: Buy a unique souvenir or piece of art to remember your trip by.
There you have it – plenty of fun and exciting ways to spend that extra 150€ instead of paying it to those ultra-rich, soulless and killer corporations!
We always find the best prices for our guests. In order to provide our customers with the most competitive rates, we may offer some accommodations in “white label” mode that means we abstain from publicizing the identity of the accommodation.
In the hospitality industry, “white label” or “private label” refers to a business model where one company (in this case, LeibTour) offers third-party accommodations under its own brand name, without disclosing the original supplier’s name or brand. This means that LeibTour is able to offer accommodations to its guests under its own brand name, even though the actual property owner’s name and brand remain hidden from the public.
This approach is taken to secure lower fares for our guests, fares that may even be cheaper than the official rates offered by our suppliers in their websites. We are able to accomplish this thanks to our close and friendly relationships with some property owners.
Our approach to white labeling is driven by a desire to offer our customers the best possible value for their money, without compromising on quality or service. Rest assured that all the accommodations we offer, meet our rigorous standards of comfort, cleanliness, and safety.

Are you dealing with a company or a private?
It’s important to understand if you are booking with a private or with a company. If you are booking with a private, check if it is the owner, a broker, and of course, if they are legally authorized to act as a middleman. Same if you are booking with a company. Is the main business of the company renting properties? Where is the company based? Does the company have a physical office (check for the Google Business link) and always look for reviews.
Is the V.a.t. number valid? (use external website)
A valid VAT number means the company is active and operating. There are some free tools on the web where you can easily check the company status and the names of the administrators. The best are Infocif and DatasCif.
Check for a FIXED telephone number?
Buying a SIM card in a smartphone is easy and accessible to everyone. Check instead for a fixed phone number and the business hours when the office is open.
Why is it important to verify the Touristic Licence number of the rental provider?
Verifying the Touristic Licence number of the rental provider is crucial for several reasons. Firstly, it ensures that the rental property has met the necessary legal requirements and standards set by the local authorities for offering accommodations to guests. This verification helps guarantee that the property meets safety, hygiene, and quality standards, providing a safe and enjoyable experience for guests.
Additionally, booking with a rental provider that holds a valid Touristic Licence offers you legal protection as a guest. It ensures that the property is legally authorized to operate as a vacation rental and follows the regulations and guidelines set by the tourism authorities. This can provide peace of mind and protection against potential scams or illegal operations. By verifying the Touristic Licence number, you can confirm the legitimacy of the rental provider and be confident that you are booking with a reputable and compliant establishment.
What should I consider when booking with a vacation rental company or individual?
It’s important to consider whether you are booking with a company or an individual. For individuals, check if they are the property owner or acting as a broker. Ensure that they are legally authorized to facilitate the booking. When booking with a company, verify if renting properties is their main business. Look for their physical office location (check for the Google Business link) and always read reviews to ensure their credibility.
Ask to share the LIVE location on WhatsApp
Nowadays, many businesses use WhatsApp as a communication channel with their customers. If you are having a chat with the seller, ask to share the live location to acknowledge they are based on the island.
